Personalize Your Grand Entrance
WebMaster — Sat, 10/22/2011 - 09:55
The vows are exchanged, the rings are on, all those pictures have been taken - now it's time to go meet all your family and friends as Husband & Wife! How you enter will set the tone for the rest of your wedding day - our advice - make it count!
How you enter depends on what type of personality you have: Are you upbeat, energetic, life of the party? Laid back, easy going, take it as it comes? Maybe you're one way and he's another! No worries - your experienced DJ/MC will make suggestions based on your personalities. We suggest using music for all the introductions
The first thing to consider is how to introduce your bridal party. Is it by couple or individually? Did you know you could personalize them? We ask for 4-5 'fun facts' about each bridal party member then compose an intro that incorporates those into an intro.. Do you have a particular member you want to highlight (someone newly engaged, shares your wedding date, just had a child)? Maybe you just want to share some funny background to loosen everyone up? Secondly, what does the new couple walk in to? Again, it should be personal - the group/song/style says "You". Perhaps you both like the same artist, shared a concert together, the song that was playing when you met or when the proposal was made. These introductions can also be more than "Mr. & Mrs. Newly Married". What about a short intro written from one to the other that's shared at that moment? How about sharing a few details about your relationship that many guests don't know?
Recently, a couple where he liked 80's & she liked Bruce Springsteen we used "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina & the Waves for the Bridal Party and "Born To Run" by Bruce Springsteen for the couple. Another couple used The Romantics' "What I Like About You" for both the bridal party & the couple. Let us help create a "you" moment for your wedding - give us a call soon!
